This brand new HDI features the 750 Liquid cooled Kohler 750 31 hp EFI engine
and all the good things the Avenger offers, but far surpasses the Avenger 750
EFI in several ways.
First of all, you can run the 18" rubber tracks without the wear and
tear on the idlers and front idler chains. Why? No idlers. No idler chains.
NO BRAKE PADS! The Admiral transmission, built right at
ODG ( Ontario Drive and Gear LTD) is a triple differential "steering"
transmission. It does not rely on brake pads to "skid" the machine
around turns. It actually "powers" through the turns and is really
smooth to drive. It really handles those big rubber tracks, and eliminates my
former dislike of the rubber tracks. The rubber tracks, in my opinion were just
too hard on the machines, but now they are a great choice. This unit stears
better in the water because it doesn't need to skid the machine around, but
positively keeps the unit in forward movement all the time. You can substitute
any and all of the Argo tire/track assemblies on this machine as well. Loads
of reliable power, and those new triple sealed bearings are 3 times bigger to
handle the extra heavy duty axles.
Now, everybody knows how much I love the 650 Frontier 8x8 with
18" Super Tracks for my own use, but if you are a commercial user, or demand
the rubber tracks, then go directly to the HDI as, in my opinion, your only
choice. Chris Schenkel
No brake maintenance
No brake adjustments
No brake pads
No idler shafts
EXTRA HEAVY DUTY BEARINGS AND AXLES NEVER BEFORE OFFERED!
The newest edition of the ARGO line is the toughtesm most powerful, and will
be the best Argo ever built.
It stears without the front end noise of the Avenger and will transmit all
the power to the 8 wheels FULL TIME all the time.
I love it.
